Squeak! Squeak!

The green swingset was making a lot of racket as the little girl played on it at 11.00 at night. She started to pump more violently as she chanted “Higher, Higher!”

the swing was going too high, but the little girl didn’t notice

“WHEEE!” she squealed, but stopped abrubtly as the swing squeeked a little bit loufer than before.

The swing pitched her off.

The Girl cried out “Daddy!”

“Shhh! You’ll wake you’r brother if you make that noise, then he’ll know that I let you stay up late tonight!”

Simon started to walk towards his pride and joy, second only to his son Julian, or his daughter Emily.

Emily.  The name struck a chord in his head when she was born, Simon was positive that he had known someone with that name

His pager beeped
